1. Who We Are

Incontro Ltd ("Incontro", "we", "us") operates the event discovery platform at incontro.app. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and account type (attendee or organiser).

Transaction data: When you purchase a ticket, we collect order details including event, quantity, and amount paid. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store card numbers.

Location data: With your permission, we use your approximate location to show nearby events. We do not store precise GPS coordinates persistently.

Usage data: We collect anonymised data on how the Platform is used (pages visited, searches performed) to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to: provide and improve the Platform; process ticket purchases and issue order confirmations; send transactional emails (order receipts, event reminders); comply with legal obligations; and prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

Event organisers: When you purchase a ticket, the organiser receives your name and email to manage attendance.

Service providers: We share data with Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), and other infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the Platform.

Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Incontro or others.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and preference cookies to remember your location settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. The latest version is always available at incontro.app/privacy.
